Our body needs sufficient anti-oxidants in order to fight with various pollutants of the air. Lack of these anti-oxidants will make our body weak and will snatch away its ability to fight with pollutants.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C rich food is essential to fight the pollutants of the air that enters the body. It fights the free radical cells and makes our immune system strong. Vitamin C rich food products are anti-oxidant in nature which are sufficient to fight the infections. Thus, one should eat oranges, broccoli, papaya, strawberries, tomatoes, etc.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E protects the body from pollution. It helps to heal the tissues of the body. Thus, it is essential to consume a vitamin E rich diet. Nuts like almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds etc. Herbs like cloves, celery, oregano etc. are also beneficial for the body. Beta-carotene: Beta-carotene helps to control the inflammation in the body and act as an efficient anti-oxidant. It is of the refined form of vitamin A. One should consume beta-carotene rich food like spinach, radish leaves, carrots and liver etc. in your diet.

Selenium-rich food: One should eat a selenium-rich food which helps to control the movement of free radicals in the body. It protects the lungs and liver and helps the body in digestion.
