Applying water while wearing contact lenses:
If you are wearing contact lenses, then you must not use water to the eyes. Many people sprinkle water to the eyes without even taking the lenses off. This practice is extremely harmful to your eyes. It allows bacteria into the eyes. Not only this, if you apply water to the lenses they can easily get broken into the eyes only. It can leave wounds in the cornea. So you must not do this.
Smoking is not only bad for your lungs, it is bad for your eyes too. Basically, it is associated with a higher risk of cataracts and some sort of muscular degeneration. This eventually harms our vision. The molecules can damage the small spot on your retina. If this happens to anyone, there are chances of losing the vision after the age of 50.
Excessive usage of digital screens:

While we come out in the sun, we always apply sunscreens then why nothing for the eyes.? The way UV rays are hurting our skin, the same way it can damage our eyes. Extensive UV exposure can be harmful to the eyes and can damage the retina. Hence, it can ultimately put you at risk for a few major eye conditions like cataracts or abnormal growths.
