We all know that immune system can make your body stay away from disease and viruses. But, do you know that our immune system can attack us also? Arthritis is a condition, in which your joins get inflammation and infections. It even soaks the liquid which makes our bone joints flexible. This mostly happens on your hand, legs, fingers, knees. Systemic lupus erythematosus or lupus is an example of autoimmune disease. People who have lupus often develop autoimmune antibodies which get attached to tissues throughout the body. When you develop this disease it mostly attacks your bone joints, blood cells, kidneys, lungs and nerves. You may need daily oral prednisone which is a steroid that reduces immune system function. When you develop this disease, your immune system attacks the some of your organs and make them inflamed. Some of your body parts like intestines, stomach get affected most by this disease. It causes episodes of diarrhoea, urgent bowel movements, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, fever, and weight loss.

This is another disease which comes under autoimmune diseases. When this disease happens, the immune system attacks the blood vessels and gradually damages them. Vasculitis can affect any organ, not only blood vessels, it can affect any of your organs. Treatments include reducing immune system activity, usually with prednisone or another corticosteroid.
