The ketogenic diet is one of the best diet plans to lose weight. This diet plan not only helps you to lose weight but also helps in keeping many health-related problems like diabetes, obesity and Alzheimer at bay. If you follow this diet, it forms ketones in the liver which is utilized as a energy by the body. Ketones are water-soluble molecules that are produced in the liver from fatty acids during low food consumption. This diet plan is very strict as you have to give up carbohydrates. Under the ketogenic diet, you have to consume 70 to 80 per cent healthy fats, 10 to 20 per cent protein, and 5 per cent carbohydrates.
