How to Treat Breathing Problems in Babies

Breathing problems in babies are quite unfortunate. The ratio of having this problem is increasing day by day. But most of the children suffer from breathing problem only for few 2-3 years. After growing up this problem gradually resolves on its own. But unfortunately, during the childhood breathing problem generally leads to respiratory infections, such as croup, bronchitis and pneumonia. As a result, babies experience some symptoms like a rapid breathing, wheezing, mild coughing, fever etc. But, do not worry! Your baby will be fine if you apply these ways to reduce the problem. Avoid dehydration in babies:
Above of all make sure your baby is getting enough hydration. Feed him a lot of fluids like milk, water, fruit juice etc. By doing this you can easily prevent the dehydration and it helps in thinning the body’s secretions. It helps in melting the mucus and reduce congestion.

Help the baby to get proper sunlight:
Breathing problem in babies mostly happens because of the vitamin D deficiency. If the baby is not having sufficient amount of vitamin D, he may develop wards on his respiratory tract. This problem leads to respiratory infections. So, make sure your little one is getting enough sunlight. Expose him to sun almost 20 minutes in a day. Ginger:
As you know ginger has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties which help your baby to deal with breathing problems. If your baby is 1 year old or above, mix equal amounts of ginger and pomegranate juice and honey in a bottle. Provide him 1 tablespoon of this mixture thrice a day.

Turmeric:
No wonder you can choose turmeric to treat breathing issues in your child. Turmeric also has anti-inflammatory properties which no doubt can help reduce the inflammation in the airways and lungs to make breathing easier for your baby. To use this, you have to take 1 cup of water and ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder in a pan and have to heat it. After boiling the solution keep it aside.
