Oily skin is one of the most common problems of people. Excess oil on the skin leads to untidy and greasy look. This is the result of the excess production of oil (sebum) from the sebaceous glands on the skin. Though, sebum is good for skin as it provides the necessary nourishment to the skin and helps in protection against various foreign particles. But an excess of everything is bad. Home remedies to get rid of the oily skin:
Honey: Honey is one of the best product for skin. It is antibacterial and antiseptic in nature that helps to fight various skin infections. Besides this, it helps in controlling the oil from the skin. It contains humectant which keeps the skin hydrated but removes the excess oil from the skin. So, apply some honey on your face and let it dry for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water and see the immediate results.
Oatmeal: Oatmeal absorbs the excess oil from the skin.Oatmeal if combine with yoghurt and honey can do wonders to the skin by removing the excess oil. It even removes the dead skin cells and makes the skin glowing and brighter. So mix a half cup of oats with water and add a tablespoon of honey. Add some curd/yoghurt and apply on the face. Tomatoes: Tomatoes not only helps to remove tan from the skin, it is also good to remove excess oil from the skin. It contains salicylic acid and is the best ingredient for skin. You can either use the pulp of tomato on your skin or apply the tomato juice on your face to get the natural glowing skin. You can also add a sugar and tomato pulp together and massage all over your face. Keep the scrub for 5 minutes and then rinse off your face with lukewarm water.
Almonds: Almonds are rich in vitamin E. It helps to nourish the skin and also removes the excess oil from the skin. It is also a great scrubber for the skin which helps to exfoliate the skin. Make a paste of almond by grinding it and adding honey to it. Apply and massage the same on your face for 5 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Washing face: If you have extremely oily skin then try to wash your face at least twice a day. It helps to remove the excess oil from the skin making it gentle and glowing.
