How to treat the sunburn using apple cider vinegar

Spending excessive time in Sun causes sunburn. Our body contains a pigment called Melanin that provides colour to the skin, hair and eyes. This Melanin even protects our skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the Sun. Then there comes a point when this melanin formation declines and ultimately stops. Thus the skin is damaged by the Sun. It may even lead to skin cancer. There are a number of home remedies that can help to get rid of sunburn, apple cider vinegar being one of them.

Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid and lactic acid which exfoliates the skin and removes the damaged skin cells. It even reduces the red and dark spots and maintains the pH level of the skin. Apple cider vinegar also has potassium which reduces the growth of germs and bacteria in the skin. It is also antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that helps the skin in multiple ways.

Here are the ways in which one can use apple cider vinegar to get rid of sunburn:

One can mix apple cider vinegar in cold water bucket and take a bath to get instant relief.

Dap some vinegar over a piece of cloth and apply it over on the infected area, it will give relief to the burning sensation.

One can even mix apple cider vinegar with water in a spray bottle. Mix the solution well and spray it over the infected area after the fixed interval of time.

Applying apple cider vinegar can cause a bit burning sensation over the skin, but it’s absolutely fine, as it is natural.

One should make sure that while going out in Sun, they must try to protect their skin from direct contact with Sun. Covering skin either with a stole or carrying an umbrella is the good options. Besides this, one should apply sunscreen lotion and moisturiser to protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays. One should also drink as much as water as they can, to stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water protects the skin from many skin ailments.
