Can be unsafe for the children:
Fenugreek water or tea may be harmful to children. It can cause diarrhoea in children and toddlers. That is why paediatricians do not generally advise parents to give methi to their children. Till the baby is not growing up a bit, you should not give it to them.
If you are eating fenugreek in an excessive amount, you may suffer from stomach issues. It can cause loose motions. In fact, mothers who are nursing their babies, should not eat methi excessively. It causes serious stomach problems for them. The newborn baby also can get affected if the mother is consuming methi leaves too much. Can create Body and urine odour:
It may be hard to believe but the fact is, fenugreek leaves can create body odour. If you consume this excessively, it can affect your body by leading body odour. In fact, it can make your urine too pungent when it comes to its smell. It makes the colour of the urine darker too. These things happen probably because fenugreek contains an aromatic compound called soletone.
It can be allergic:
Those who are allergic to certain food like protein food items, they may get affected when it comes to eating fenugreek. Methi leaves can trigger the allergic reactions in your body. If you find redness and itching in your body after consuming this, you should consult with the doctor.
Can be harmful during pregnancy:
If you are pregnant, you can not eat fenugreek leaves or seeds in a very moderate amount. Although, discuss this with your doctor and then eat it because you can be allergic to these leaves too.
