Welcome to the second day of Navratri fasts. Well, the second of this pious period of nine days is dedicated to Goddess Brahamcharini. Goddess Brahamcharini is another or the second form of Goddess Durga. On this day, special arrangements are made to worship Goddess Brahamcharini. The priests and people at home offer prayer in their own way. People who are observing fast, read the story of the Goddess and worship with a pure heart and soul. What is the process of offering prayer during Navratri fast?
The kalash that you have established the previous day has to be watered every day after taking bath. While worshipping Goddess Brahamcharini, the devotees offer a pair of cloves and betel leaves. Worshipping Goddess Brahamcharini helps to get rid of the negativity from life. Also, offer sugar or some sweet to the Goddess. Besides this, use hibiscus flowers and lotus flowers to worship the goddess.

By chanting this pious mantra one can worship Goddess Brahamcharini :

Yā dēvī sarvabhūtēṣu mām̐ brahmacāriṇī rūpēṇa sansthitā|
Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namō nama: ||
Dadhānā kara padmābhyāma akṣamālā kamaṇḍalū |

What is the significance of the second day of Navratri fast?
She was the daughter of Himalaya. She desired the companionship of Lord Shiva under the influence of Devrishi Narada. For this, she devoted herself entirely in the tough penance. She almost observed fasting for hundreds of years. She had immense power and strength in her that she could carry forward her prayers and devotion. And finally, she got the fruit of her devotion. She is also the unmarried form of goddess Parvati.
